Granite for Kitchen Countertops

Kitchen countertops account for the largest share of granite specified in U.S. residential work. The material's hardness, heat tolerance and slab-scale patterning make it a natural fit for islands, perimeter runs and full-height backsplashes.

For fabricators and dealers, the practical questions are consistency and yield: how closely slabs within a bundle match, how much usable material each slab provides after seam planning, and whether cut-to-size or prefabricated tops make more sense for the project's volume.
